TREND WATCH // Is Sage Green the new neutral?
We are OBSESSED with this classic yet modern, fun yet sophisticated sage green! Great for spring, summer, fall, + winter, and perfect as a base colour or as a statement...we are starting to think this might just be the most versatile colour out there right now.
Not sure how to incorporate this beautiful color into your home? Here's a few ways to incorporate sage green into your home now:
Cabinetry
We adore this smokey shade for use in cabinetry. Sage green offers a saturated hue with definite color without feeling too bold or trendy - in fact, we'd argue that this color is completely versatile and timeless in its varying shades and tones.
Clearly it's perfect paired with warm woods, crisp creams, + soft metallics.
DESIGN TIP: If you're looking to create Timeless over trendy, seek out colors found in nature
DESIGN TIP: Use white accents such as a countertop, a back splash or sink to break up the solid colour and make the cabinets feel fresh!

On the walls
Walls are a great spot to play with color if you're a little unsure of making a commitment in cabinetry - after all, as the saying goes... 'It's just paint' and is easy enough to change when you're ready.
A cooler-toned sage green works great with crisp whites + sharp blacks, and almost feels neutral in this space:
Blush + Sage...need we say more?
DESIGN TIP: Paint the whole room the same color to show off furniture, lighting, + ARTWORK
If you have warmer-toned woods similar to the desk below, try a sage green with more of a taupe undertone than grey. Paired with other neutrals, like white, and varying shades of green, we love the fresh feel it gives this office nook.
TIP: If you love sage as much as we do, but are a little nervous to paint an entire wall, try painting a half a wall. This way you can incorporate color without making a full commitment, plus when you eventually fall completely in love with this colour and want to paint the whole wall (and maybe every other wall in the house!), you will have already done half the work!
Hey remember? We wrote a whole post last year on paint-dipped walls..
OKAY, STILL Not ready to put sage on the walls?
Incorporate your favorite new color in soft furnishings that are easy to switch out for a minimal investment.
DESIGN TIP: Try using Sage coloured bedding mixed with whites, greys, Linens, or blush pinks
